RAFFLE RULES: 1. Anyone can enter, even Aldeer owners and staff if they choose to do so. Entry is determined by donating to the USMC Toys for Tots Foundation thru this website. The number of entries for the raffle depends on the amount of the donation given. 2. Prize donors cannot win back the prize they donate. In the event that their name is drawn for a price they offered, then they will get the next prize down. The next name drawn will win the previously forfeitted prize. 3. No hardcopy printed or paper "tickets" will be issued to the ticket purchasers. Winners will be chosen by drawing at the dinner, time and location to be announced on aldeer.com. Manual entires will be typed into the spreadsheet for people who donate by check or money order (number of tickets or chances for winning depends on the amount donated) before the winners are selected. The online donor's Paypal information will be downloaded into the excel spreadsheet and "ticket numbers" assigned to them as well (again, number of tickets or chances for winning depends on the amount donated). As donations accrue, ticket numbers (cooresponding to hard tickets that will go into the drawing) will be assigned and will be shown on the updated list at sportsmenfortots.org. The ticket numbers shown are the actual numbers of the hard tickets that will go into the drawing for random selection at the dinner. The first name drawn will win the most valuable prize and will go down the list of prizes. The winning ticket numbers that are drawn will NOT be included in subsequent drawings by removing the winning tickets as they are pulled. For example, if Joe Schmoe donates $50, then six ticket numbers with Joe Schmoe's name will go into the "hat" for the drawing. If Joe wins a prize on the first pull, then he only has 5 more chances of winning another prize - NOT the original 6 that he started with. 4. Prizes for the drawing are the responsibility of the person who donated that prize. Winners will be announced via a post on Aldeer.com in the General Forum. I will send out an email to each winner w/ the contact info of the donor to arrange pickup or shipping of the item. 5. Ticket Prices: $10 per ticket. For every $50 you donate, you will get one "free" ticket. 6. Drawing for prizes will be held at the raffle dinner, on or about Friday December 19th at 6:30pm (subject to final confirmation - may float up to 5 days). The dinner will be at a location to be announced soon - probably in the central part of the state. All members of aldeer.com and any other donors are invited to attend. To attend, you will however need to be added to the reservation list. Contact Andy at andy@sportsmenfortots.org to confirm your seat. Maximum capacity is approx 40 people, but no person will be turned away who wants to attend. 7. The deadline for mailed donations is postmarked on or before Saturday Dec 13th, 2008. The deadline for online Paypal donations via Credit Card or Bank Transfer is 5:00 pm on Monday, Dec 15th, 2008. All paypal donations collected will be converted to a Certified Bank Check on Tuesday, Dec 16th, 2008, and will be made out to "Marine Toys for Tots Foundation". The check will be brought to the dinner location for the drawing. The check will be presented to the Marine Toys for Tots Foundation (4/14th USMC) in Bessemer at the dinner. 8. Prize winners can be anywhere in the United States and their item will be shipped to them (typically at their expense, to be worked out with the prize donor) with the only excpetion being the firearm(s). The winner of the firearm(s) must be at least 18 years of age and must be able to pass the Federal Background Check and must be able to legally take possession of the firearm(s) as their own property. In the event that the name drawn to win the firearm is someone outside the continental United States, then they can either choose to forfeit the firearm as a prize & receive the next prize down the list, and then the next ticket drawn wins the firearm -or- they can choose to have the firearm sent to a family member in the lower 48 states - however that family mamber must be qualified and willing to receive the firearm, undergo and pass the Federal Background Check, and take possession of the firearm as their own property. Sorry, but this is for legal reasons concerning shipping firearms outside the continental United States. 9. Now for the legal mumbo-jumbo: Prizes have no cash value and winners cannot choose the corresponding cash value as compensation in leiu of any prize. Winners are responsible for claiming their prizes and may be responsible for any shipping or delivery charges that are incurred if they choose to have the item shipped. Aldeer.com, it's owners, representatives, administrators, moderators, and members are NOT responsible for the coordination of this raffle. All parties involved are volunteering items and time and are not compensated in any way. All donations made online by Paypal will have the Paypal fees AUTOMATICALLY deducted by Paypal. Paypal fees are a cost of making the online transaction and will not be added into the total that will be donated at the conclusion of the raffle. The total donated BEFORE Paypal fees are subtracted will be used in determining the eligibility of the number of tickets to be issued. In leiu of Paypal, cash, check, money orders and certified funds will be accepted. All money raised (minus Paypal fees) will be donated to the United States Marine Corps Toys for Tots Foundation. No person associated with this program can be held responsible for any actions of anyone involved. No warranties or guarantee of any kind are included for raffle items. Items are offered as-is and the recepients agree that they have no legal action of recourse in the event that they are not satisfied with thier prizes. You must be 18 to purchase tickets and to claim any prizes. You must be legally able to possess any of the prizes in order to claim them. Odds of winning depends on the number of tickets purchased by any one individual and also the total number of tickets purchased overall. Any prize winner that does not want their prize may forfeit it back to the raffle. In the event that a prize is forfeited after the drawing has concluded at the end of the raffle, the prize will be offered on Aldeer.com (General Forum) as a 10-day auction with public bids and no reserve. At the end of the auction, the money collected will be donated as a separate installment to the USMC Toys for Tots Foundation.
